Playing music has always been my passion. I believe that music opens a lot of doors that nothing else can unlock. It is communication, a skillful art, and an endless creative outlet. I don't believe that one genre is better than another: it's all music, it's all self-expression. This is why I enjoy playing with many different groups; they all capture a different vibe, a different message, a unique collection of personalities.
Whether I'm playing or teaching, my philosophy is the same: you can only be the best at being yourself. You must be honest with yourself and acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. Working on your strengths and weaknesses requires an endless discipline of effortless practice, so being a musician is a lifelong journey.
