After well-received performances at the festivals V:NM (Graz, Austria) and Alpenglow (Ljubljana, Slovenia), the ad hoc gathered Slovenian-Austrian trio - later renamed the Cut Trio - decided to work together more permanently. A good decision that brought them to perform at another esteemed Austrian festival in early March, artacts. While both Slovenian members are well known, the saxophonist Tanja Feichtmair, in the homeland respected as one of the most inventive free jazz musicians, performed in Cerkno only once, with Damon Smith in 2004.
