Frank Woeste was born in Germany in 1976 and grew up in a family of music lovers. « Everbody played an instrument , we played a lot of different music together . All kinds of music from classical chamber music to jazz and the Beatles » As a teenager Frank is taking piano lessons at the Bremen Conservatory and is playing at the local jazzclub with passing by jazzmusicians. After spending a year in the US he moves to Paris in 1997 to study at the Paris Conservatory .The school is a meeting point for a lot of young artists and Frank is rapidly being part of the local parisian jazzscene. After graduating from the conservatory in 2001 Frank won a number of 1st or 2nd prizes in international jazz competitions : the Steinway Prize at the Montreux Piano Competition, Jazz Hoeilaart International Competition or the Gexto European Jazzcontest .
