Johnny Cruz was born July 7, 1959 in New York City. He was raised in New York City and Puerto Rico. He embarked on his musical quest in th 1970's. he began playing the trombone but a year later changed to playing the timbales. hebegan taking taking lessons at Drummer for several years at The Boys Harbor School of Music. There he studied the latin percussion instruments such the drums, bongo congas, and timbale. In the early 1980's Johnny started his own band called Johnny Cruz y Su Generacion. They were together for fourteen years before everyone went there separate ways due to Johnny's involvement with his own company and real estate. Johnny is also owner of his own brownstone where the store and his recording is located. He is owner of Johnny's Lexington Hardware Store, Tifffany Records Enterprise Corporation, and Tiffany Records Recording Studio. Till now he has been
