Nuno Campos was born in Porto in 1979.
He received his classical music training at the Porto Music Conservatory and studied jazz at the Porto Jazz School, on the double bass. At the same time, he studied drama and worked in the performing arts both as an actor and as a director in a number of theatre companies (Seiva Trupe, Arte e Imagem, TEP, etc.) in his hometown. He also took part in the film “A ponta da lâmina” by Luís Miranda, shown at Fantasporto and in an advertisement for the Football World Cup in Korea. Divided between the theatre and music, he decided to devote himself seriously to his double bass studies.
He moved to Barcelona to continue to study the double bass at ESMUC (Catalonia Higher Institute of Music), where he studied both classical music and jazz, under Toni Garcia Araque, Mario Rossy, Horacio Fumero, Luis Vidal, Joan Monné, Joan
