Guitarist Scott DuBois' (b. April 27, 1978) music is described by Jazz Times as “fascinating”, by Cadence Magazine as “exceptional...faultless, a perfect gem” and by AllAboutJazz New York as “captivating music for the meditative thinker”. He has recorded two CDs with David Liebman for the historic Soul Note record label, Monsoon (2005) and Tempest (2007), one CD for Sunnyside Records, Banshees (2008), and was selected as a Semi-Finalist in the 2005 Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition. He has toured extensively with his quartet and other groups performing at jazz/improvised music festivals and clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, and Ireland. Scott has performed with David Liebman, Chris Potter, and Tony Malaby, among many others.
