Altosaxophonist and clarinetist Silke Eberhard has studied at the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler in Berlin, followed by David Liebman´s masterclass in the USA, and the Jazz Workshop + Residency at the Banff Centre of the Arts in Canada. In 2004/2005 she was a guestprofessor at the Ponitificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá in Colombia.
Besides her longstanding Trio with Jan Roder on bass and Kay Lübke on drums, current projects are the Duo OCA with pianist Aki Takase and Potsa Lotsa – a lineup of horns (with Nikolaus Neuser on trumpet, Patrick Braun on tenorsax, Gerhard Gschlössl on trombone) – play the complete compositions of Eric Dolphy.
