The Charleston Chasers are both the most authentic and the most entertaining group currently performing hot vintage popular music from the Roaring Twenties and Thirties. The band features ten fine musicians and a wealth of vocal talent, all of whom bring to the stage the fun and excitement of the period.
The show is overflowing with toe-tapping hits from the golden age of the musicals, including the happy sounds of Fats Waller, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Al Jolson. The great musical numbers include Running Wild, Swanee, Happy Feet, The Charleston, California Here I Come, Blue Moon and many more.
The Charleston Chasers will celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2012. They have appeared at festivals and theatres around the UK and abroad, and are regulars on BBC Radio.
