Tomek Grochot - drummer/percussionist/composer. A classically trained, independent musician playing mainly jazz and jazz related styles of music. Graduated from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland in 1999. At present he is working on a project featuring his own compositions, which had their premiere in 2006 during a special concert opening a new concert season in Studio S-5 of Cracow Radio. Both the audience and critics welcomed Grochot's music and all performers - a quintet of renowned Polish jazzmen - with great enthusiasm and respect. In 2008 Tomek Grochot recorded his first solo album which features a world famous jazz star Eddie Henderson on trumpet and fluegelhorn as well as great Polish musicians: Adam Pierończyk on saxophones, Dominik Wania on piano and Rhodes piano and Robert Kubiszyn on double bass.
