As we head into December the new releases have slowed down out somewhat, but there are still plenty of gems to found. Orchestre Incandescent, led by flautist Sylvaine Hélary, blends contemporary jazz with Baroque influences, creating a rich, improvisational soundscape inspired by poetry on Rare Birds, while Rasmus Sørensen’s At the Right Time solidifies his voice in modern jazz with intricate compositions and a dynamic trio.
