I can't say I throw on jazz often when I'm drunk. It's actually one of the last things I think about throwing on. I think Ive done it before, but I think it's best when sober (or in some other state of mind).
But this is for all you jazz heads that have sipped a few down. Man, I'd love to go to a jazz club and have a few drjnks while the band is playing. It'd probably be a good time. I think the bwest jazz to listen to drunk would be bop, agressive post-bop, or some rockin'/funky fusion. Yea |

You got pinched off for PWD on archives, dude. Ironically enough, I've been to clubs where jazz and alcohol were served before I was old enough to legally be there. I wasn't there for the booze an did not indulge in it. It was really cool.

Posting while drunk. Only slightly less seriously than a DUI. |

yea i noticed that. That's alright, they let me off with a warning
Ive literally never had jazz on (maybe fusion) while Ive had a few drinks. It's always rock/metal/funk/hip-hop |

For hangovers I would recommend Chet Baker.

I think my favorite jazz for drinking is those really slow Jimmy Smith blues tunes on the B3.
I work a lot of long days that go into the early morning hours, nothing like coming home and putting on a Pandora station that features hard bop and soul jazz and having some beers while I unload all my equipment out of the truck. If I'm feeling a little more hyped, then its a station with funk, old hip-hop and blues rock.

I'd say swing is the best for a drinking party.

I agree that funk and swing are good. I'd like to give some hard bop, or some bluesy jazz a try.

I only pass out and/or vomit when drunk. Music is not a concern.

I try not to get drunk off beer, any kind. I save that for the hard stuff.

When I am drinking I always have company and nearly always it my old mates. Yep Credence Clearwater Revival, they bloody love em', I do too. It's a bit of a family joke these days. One of the family will say tongue in cheek. "How about some Credence" when they are around
Off course we have a few when we go to gigs but when everybody is just sttin' around or a party at home we like the easy listening, familar stuff that everyone can sing along too. Yep drunks choir...lucky neighbours
