Hi everyone, sorry if this is posted in the wrong board.

My googling skills have failed me so I thought Id turn to some jazz
heads to help me out.

There are several songs I have come across that I assume to be jazz
which I cant stop listening to, yet I cant seem to find any similiar music.

The songs are:

Chet Baker - Almost Blue https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z4PKzz81m5c
Alison Moyet - That ole devil called love again. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hgDE9f6LdV8
Michael Buble Instrumental - You dont know me. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cR9z5koF_jo

The slow relaxing, almost sad, piano is what I really enjoy.

If anyone could help in anyway with some suggestions, Id be ecstatic.

Thanks for the help,
Laurie

An excellent melancholy piano album is Brad Mehldau's "Where do You Start"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Dn4IWgI78

Let me know what you think of this and I'll get some more for you.

Here's most of the other tracks.

What is this type of jazz known as? And if you could you post those
other tracks you mentioned thatd be awesome, cheers.

I think what you are looking for is ballads, in a post bop or cool jazz style.
Some other artists you might like include Bill Evans and Ahmad Jamal, I'll look for some samples.

Great suggestion, roughly, the first half was really nice relaxed music,
got a tiny bit fast for me after that, will still definitley be downloading though.
I had a brief search on youtube and found this by Bill Evans,
you were right to think Id like him.

^ "Moon Beams" is a nice album.

Something different ...  Nat King Cole sings and plays the piano. When he is with his trio, there is no added string section, the other albums have added strings.

It says it isn't playable in my country, have you got any
alternate links by any chance?

Thanks, Laurie

Ahmad Jamal has played many styles in his life, including some mellow stuff in the early part of his career. Here is "Sophisticated gentleman"
