he was one of the very best British blues-rock guitarist ever, unfortunately his life wasn't all that successful

People giving you LSD without your consent was a problem back then. There is a fairly well known underground story about him getting heavily dosed at some cultish political function. I think the band he was jamming with was Amon Duul.
Peter was a great blues guitarist, but he also knew his way around jazz, folk, RnB and psychedelic rock.

some think it is Santana's song, but it isn't - "Black Magic Woman" is originally Peter Green's



Green's early albums as leader contain some brilliant songs, unfortunately each of them is full of fillers as well
