Wynton Marsalis/JLCO to Play Monk’s Music in NYC

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform the music of Thelonious Monk on Oct. 23 and 24 at the Town Hall in New York City. The orchestra will be joined by 12-year-old pianist Joey Alexander to perform big band arrangements of classic Monk tunes, including “Light Blue,” “We See,” “Skippy” and “Monk’s Mood.”
