trying to determine a genre on this guy, your sample says be bop, but the web site plays big band, I'll look around on the web and see what I can find out.

I'd be far more inclined to call it bop than big band. A lot of his stuff could also be called cool jazz, I think.
EDIT: seems to me that the big band label comes from the things he has done with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, which isn't really representative of him Edited by triceratopsoil - 11 Apr 2011 at 11:35pm |
