Re-discovered this track with some nice mileage.
Sifting through the files I saved in an old account of mine. I don't know anything about this track. I can barely recall finding it. It's been dormant. But worth checking out. Very underrated. It's John Barry's Body in Heat (Main Title) from 1981.

Technically, yes, I am listening to jazz right now--and have been for about the past six months. BUT it's been a deep dive into the history of Jazz-Rock Fusion--which has led me into Jazz Funk and Smooth Jazz, though there have been plenty of dips into the albums and geniuses that churned the cauldron back in the 60s and 70s.
Today I was listening to Lou Blackburn's MOMBASA project's debut album from 1975, African Rhythm and Blues, EXIL's most excellent debut, also from 1975, entitled Fusionen; yesterday Slovenian band IZVIR's self-titled debut from 1977, MOIRA's most excellent, Crazy Countdown from 1978, and of course a little daily dose of Hermann Szobel and Lenny White. As my interest in prog music has waned rather dramatically, I hope you jazz-heads won't mind my sticking my head into your business around here for a while--and I sincerely hope that my seemingly-one-sided enthusiasm for all-things Jazz-Rock Fusion won't drive you a bit batty. I am, however, wide open to learn about other stuff! (I think.) Sincerely, Drew Fisher |

Been relistening to the Chet Baker sings records! These recordings are moving every time, so lyrical. I want to use these recordings to inspire my bass playing more.

Pulled out Jeff Lorber - Worth Waiting For. Have not heard this in over 30 years and it's pretty bad. Don't like the funky beats and the vocal tunes. What was I thinking? Oh well, I will redeem myself later with Antione Fafard - Borromean Odyssey

Stan Getz, Cafe au GoGo, Greenwich Village, Aug. 1964. But what would Mr. Getz have to say about EWI and Roland digital controllers having removed those precious keys from the original invention of the saxophone, as if they were no longer required?
