Welcome. Many gateway jazz albums to choose from, Many from 1959, same as Kind of Blue. I recommend John Coltrane - "Giant Steps", Charles Mingus - "Mingus Ah Um", and Dave Brubeck - "Time Out" (very 'proggy' jazz album). But there's so many to choose from, you'll find your way.

Welcome Cale, hope you enjoy exploring this great music. We're trying to get more and more videos and mp3s added so people can hear examples of all the artists and genres.

Hey, everyone it's Cale from PA. I've really been wanting to listen to more Jazz lately so I thought I might as well sign up here. I have little to no experience with Jazz what-so-ever, and just about all I've heard is A Kind of Blue by Miles and "Jazz Macht Spazz" by a German group called Puppenhaus. I look forward to meeting some interesting people and finding some interesting music. Thanks.
