I can't say enough about WKCR Columbia University's radio station. They really do justice to the music. www.WKCR.org take a look at the schedule there is something for everyone.

I'm happy to introduce WKCR, the independent radio station from New York. I've been listening to this station from over 25 years, and have been made so much richer musically. They are a non-commercial truly independent radio station. One thing they do is have 24 hour birthday broadcasts, and April is a big month with two broadcasts: Charles Mingus on April 22 and Duke Ellington on April 29. I highly recommend this station for the best non-formula radio.
