Yes, I do like that.  I hadn't heard much of Vesala other than his later recordings, which I like. - I've been listening steadily to the list on the other New 2021 thread - many thanks, what a tremendous resource!

Another one on the current tip is Sonido Gallo Negro, who draw upon the legendary psychedelic Peruvian cumbia sound and add other Latin influences as well as bits of surf guitar and spy movie soundtracks. Solid musicianship throughout with a strong knowledge of all manner of Latin rhythms.

Greetings.  I'm into avant/experimental music of all/any type.  I play strings, drums, horns in many styles.  I'm 60 and home-schooling kids.  My latest interests are forro, cumbia, blues and what not on accordion; trad Norwegian on hardanger fiddle..
