Yes, very much so. Its hard to properly amplify an acoustic piano, same for bass and horns too. I noticed long ago that when you mic an acoustic guitar, the main sound you here is the pick hitting the strings.
Nothing beats the sound of an acoustic piano, amplified they sound shrill and shallow.

I've always felt that an unamplified sound from an acoustic instrument offers the listener very beautiful tones I've also always felt that once that acoustic instrument is amplified, no matter how good or sensitive the amplifier is, that is just cannot provide the listener with same quality of sound - that something is lost - the beauty of the tones is not comparable I was wondering if others also felt this thanks |
