Cool, just thought of a couple more easy jazz flute classics:
"Memphis Underground"
"Sombrero Sam"

Man, thanks! Serenade for a Cuckoo especially was a wonderful suggestion!

If these guys are serious about wanting to get into jazz, you could buy a couple copies of that big "Real Book" and pick out some tunes from there.

I play jazz gigs occasionally, and I am not extremely advanced, so I can recommend some tunes that aren't real hard.

You'll probably want the vocalist to pick their favorites, as for the rest, here's some fairly easy tunes. Going by the tunes you already mentioned, I assume you want a more post bop/hard bop set, and not the older standards.

"Mr PC"
"Mercy Mercy"
"Tune Up"
"Blue Monk"
"Green Dolphin Street"
"Well You Needn't"
"All Blues"

Since you have a flute player:  "Serenade to a Cuckoo"

Hi,
I've joined this band that is currently looking to jazz-up its repertoire. They already play Take Five and I have been tasked with finding more. Do you have any advices for something intermediately advanced to play? I've been thinking about St. Thomas and Moanin'.

Also: Feel free to share your stories on this topic .)

Thanks!

EDIT: To clarify: There is a guitar, a piano, a flute, a bass and drums (plus possible singer)
