Caleb Chapman’s Crescent Super Band is the world’s top professional big band consisting entirely of young musicians (all are ages 15-18). They recently headlined their own show to a sold out audience at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center in New York.

DownBeat Magazine has recognized them on several occasions with their prestigious “DownBeat Award” recognizing them as the top young big band in the world. Now Crescent Super Band is in pursuit of a Grammy nomination with their new album "Don't Look Down." The project features an entirely new sound for the band they are calling “alternative jazz and soul”, a significant departure from focus on the Great American Songbook of earlier recordings. The new album is on Kickstarter until Sunday July 14, 2013. KICKSTARTER LINK

The current track listing will include cover songs from:

- Ben Folds (“Landed”)

- The Black Keys (“Gold on the Ceiling”)

- Janelle Monae ("Tightrope")

- Bruno Mars (“Treasure”)

- Jessie J (“Mamma Knows Best”)

- Foo Fighters (“Times Like These”)

- Beyonce (“Crazy in Love”),

- Herbie Hancock and John Mayer ("Stitched Up"),

- And others still to be determined.

So far this an amazing list of guest artists, arrangers, and producers attached to the album.

John Beasley (Producer)
Jeff Coffin from Dave Matthews Band (Guest Musician)
Sam Cardon (Emmy Award-Winning Composer/Arranger)
Scott Wiley (Producer/Recording Engineer)

...and many others soon to be announced.

Don't miss your chance to pre-order a copy of the new CD on Kickstarter. Plus there's private performances, recording session sit-ins, Wicked Audio headphones, and many more exclusive rewards!

Help this amazing band produce a new album of Alternative Jazz & Soul by pledging to their Kickstarter today! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1217997391/crescent-super-band-dont-look-down-new-album
