This year has been an extraordinary one for jazz, offering a wealth of groundbreaking and deeply expressive recordings from around the globe. From innovative new voices such as Ineza or Julius Rodriguez to celebrated icons of the genre including Pat Metheny, Fred Hersch and Meshell Ndegeocello, the breadth and creativity on display have been remarkable. After careful consideration, we are thrilled to present the twenty five shortlisted albums for Presto Music's Jazz Recordings of the Year 2024. And, we think it’s fair to say that each one of these nominees reflects the rich diversity and dynamic evolution of the art-form today.

The final five winners in the Jazz Recording of the Year, as well as Best Archive/Reissue, Label of the Year and Newcomer in Jazz categories will be revealed on our website on Thursday, 5th December, shortly after the Awards Ceremony at our Leamington Spa store. Don’t miss the announcement!

Little Big III - Aaron Parks

“An album that feels both spontaneous and carefully crafted — a delicate balance between structure and improvisation [showcasing] the ensemble’s maturity and musical rapport.”
