Jeff Goldblum Is Releasing an Album, Featuring a Collaboration With Scarlett JohanssonUnless you’re a diehard Jeff Goldblum fan, you might not know that the famed actor is a bit of a jazz buff. In fact, he’s released a handful of jazz records in the last decade or so. And luckily for fans of both Jeff Goldblum and jazz music in general, the actor just announced that he is releasing a new jazz album. The record will feature The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and is set to be released on April 25 of this year. The project, titled Still Blooming, showcases the talents of the actor and pianist along with a few of his other musical contemporaries. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo (who both starred in Wicked along with Goldblum) will appear on the album. Grande will contribute her vocal stylings to Goldblum’s version of “I Don’t Know Why (I Just Do)” by Dean Martin. Erivo will perform on “We’ll Meet Again” by Vera Lynn. Singer Maiya Sykes will also be featured on the album, specifically on the song “Stella By Starlight” by Miles Davis. Jeff Goldblum also announced the record’s upcoming release on his social media accounts. “My new album ‘Still Blooming’ comes out on April 25th – but you can pre-order now!” Goldblum said in the caption of his Instagram post. “Can you guess who is on the album with me? 🙏🏼🎹🎷🎤😎🌱✨” Fans are already jazzed for the release and have been flooding Goldblum’s Instagram comment section with excitement. “Jeff, Scarlett and Ariana!!!” said one fan. “This is going to be an Incredibly Beautiful Album!!!!” “This album is already Goated 🐐,” said another. Jeff Goldblum Announces Jazz Album, Releases Collab with Scarlett JohanssonJeff Goldblum teased the upcoming album with a rendition of “The Best Is Yet To Come” by Frank Sinatra, which features the vocal stylings of actress Scarlett Johansson. Goldblum’s rendition of the classic jazz tune has a more floaty, tropical feel to it. We can expect many of the songs on Goldblum’s upcoming release to have a similar feel, considering most of the songs will be covers of classics from the Great American Songbook and the Golden Era of Broadway. Goldblum’s last record with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra was Plays Well With Others from 2023. You can preorder Still Blooming via Verve Records. from https://americansongwriter.com |
