Dizzy's career started before the album existed, so a lot of his best early stuff will be found on compilations. I would check any compilation that features his work with Charley Parker. The young Dizzy and Parker together is still some of the best music the jazz world has to offer.
As far as Dizzy's later work when the LP came into existence, I would recommend the re-issue expanded version of his 1957 Newport appearance. You get the intellectual 3rd Stream music of "The Zodiac Suite", plus a lot of really hot rockin big band music. The whole concert is quite good.

The one album of his I never tire of is Big 4 from 1975 on the Pablo label. It also features Joe Pass on guitar, Ray Brown on bass, and Mickey Roker on drums.
