Or maybe, is it me that lost interest (or not detecting many new releases) or the neo-spiritual jazz wave is certainly riding its crest anymore?

Hi,

Nice seeing you here ...

The whole concert thing, is probably going to wind down for most players, and I think that many bands are going to suffer, until such a time as the streaming side of a concert becomes useful and efficient. Folks seem to be worried that it will get copied senseless and fake released somewhere else, but there is enough code artistry to prevent a lot of this and a person with a "ticket" which includes a password, can watch things and not worry about anything else ... however, one issue here is very important ... the artist has to make the music available to the audience, even if it were from two or three shows, so those that paid for the experience, can remind themselves of its work and beauty.

I think that the fear comes from the owners of the studios that own most of the streaming platforms and then make it look like bands are being robbed, when in essence they are the ones doing the most abuse of the money they take in ... and we continue to be afraid of the future ... I guess expecting a second or third coming (music by NM of course!!!) is way better than expecting to see a private show by a band. But you can take a look at how Robert Fripp and King Crimson haven't exactly been taken advantage of, and he gives the fans the ability to purchase these shows ... there are many shows with the three drummers available, and you don't need to "steal" one with a stream ... and not have the quality and so on.

Spiritual or not, for me, is not an issue ... the whole caboodle of music is ... and how it is treated, but it feels like to me that we are in a bad stage version of Godot ... yet again! And Estragon is still looking for his colored sox and shoes for us to get a laugh! Or cry!!!!

I'm betting that local bands, adn small bar-sized bands, are the only ones that will spend more time touring and getting better known ... but the real issue is any band trying to get past that hump into an area with 100k sales, or more ... and that's where things will have to happen to help them ... but the Rolling Stones trying to charge so much for a show? And a record company thinking that they can make some money like that? .... maybe we should take a look at how many acts were cancelled in Las Vegas (for a start!!!) so we know that tickets didn't sell a whole lot ... the list is insane and too much ... and I, personally, find it sad! I don't know that I would consider many of those folks not good performers or worth seeing, but the shows cancelled tells another story ... no longer a preferred name or music! And some folks are tired of the same old crap, I bet!
