The OneUps are a band that cover Video Game Music in a jazz style. I think they are mostly cool jazz (no expert though) but their must recent album is pretty explicitly funk. That's what this is from;

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Some mellow tune which I remembered by musicality of "Pleasure". It may not be an item of complete jazz.

The jazz scene in recent Japan seems to show a lot of female musicians somehow or other.
