I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Just reviewing Santana's 'Borboletta' and I was compelled to check out the source material for the wonderful 'Promise of a Fisherman' and I found the Dorival Caymmi original, and it's great on its own merits, but might also be of interest to Santana fans.
