How do we add collaborations? What's the official policy on this?

I suppose that if the other collaborators don't have and won't have pages on JMA, then we add the the album under the main artist, but what if more of the collaborators are on JMA already? How long lasting has a collaboration to be in order for us to make an artist page for it?

The common rule is we add collaborations under the artist's name, mentioned FIRST on the album

Not sure if I understand your question clear... You mean -  where we need to put the album, released as "Chick Corea- Herbie Hancock", for example? Under Chick Corea is the answer (even if Hancock has separate entry).

I am not sure what you mean under "main artist" - how do you decide, who is main in collaboration?

Yeap, that's what I was asking in this particular case.

I'm not sure on how to determine "the main artist" either, which is why this thing is so tricky. LOL Being the first on the list of names isn't very convincing to me.

If it is refused, we will have to employ the musician who offered the album a lot of tunes. However, how the album is produced in the leadership at the leader and that time cannot be understood.

Just look at this as more technical rule - we would like to avoid double entries. In jazz, there are plenty of albums, released not by bands, but just by collaborators (under their names), so "first name rule" just put in order any album's addition as well as help easily to decide where you must to search for any album.

Such placing isn't directly related with "main artist" in collaboration.

we should have some kind of way for someone who is looking at, say, Pat Metheny's page, but doesn't know he played with Jim Hall or John Scofield on an album each. Maybe a link (or like Wikipedia shows an artist's "Associated Acts")

Snobb, you do know "An Evening With Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea" is listed under both artists?

BTW, there are two albums released from the same Hancock/Corea sessions, one under Corea's name and another under Hancock's, with slightly different track list

Should be considered different, one for Corea, the other for Hancock.
