I've posted a bit before making this newbie thread but I feel like introducing myself.

Name's Marco, I'm 17, and I live in Brazil. I listen to Coltrane, cool jazz, avant-jazz from the 60's, nu- and acid-jazz and anything that features crazy experimentation. Bossa nova is a fave of mine, but it's not a jazz subgenre as the JMA administration thinks; it's jazz-related at best. I used to be a huge 70's fusion fan when I started learning to play the bass, though I can't stand most of it anymore.

I noticed your avatar when you came here, and I knew that dark long-haired guy was Miles Davis. So I thought you were one of the older guys here, and you had your picture taken with Miles oh-so-many years ago. But after seeing that picture on google, I realized that that guy is Kenny G! Such an ironic picture Tongue
