What a relief .. I am not the only one who lists the KC albums from LTiA through Red as jazz!

At their live shows, the 70s version of Crimson was mostly a jazz-rock jam band.

Here is my list; although it does vary slightly with time, these albums are pretty much it for me:

If I had to include more contemporary albums, I'd certainly mention Kurt Rosenwinkel's 'Chords (Live at the Village Vanguard)', and 'Kids (Live at Dizzy's)' with Joe Lovano and Hank Jones. Both fantastic in very different ways.

For some reason, I have always respected, but never liked Miles Davis, John Coltrane or Mahavishnu Orchestra.
