I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

It depends on each individual group and what their music sounds like and the years it came out. I would imagine a lot would fit Swing or World Fusion, some might even fit Exotica.

Good question. All the jazz manouche I've heard sounds like swing and pre-50s jazz in general, but that doesn't mean a lot. I see Django and Grappelli are in swing.

why not create the genre of its own.. Gypsy jazz or jazz manouche is often close to Klezmer music, as well
