It sounds a bit like Tony Williams I guess, although I would expect him to be a little busier.

It sounds kind of like Lenny White, but I don't think he played with Tyner.

Yeah, not Lenny but that's closer - this drummer did a bit of time with Weather Report

4 - Michael Brecker?
4.1 - Carlos or someone he influenced, I don't know his modern records so I don't know the LP name.

Yeah!
4 - Not Michael, though he played with the drummer on this one a few times 4.1 - Definitely someone Carlos influenced, this one is from a late 70s release though |

All right - Round 5!
In here is an easy one, one that is a bit harder, and one that should be tough. And some holdovers from previous rounds 3.1 is a Nu-Jazz released from 2012 (4 & 4.1 clues in previous post) |

Got him!
4.1 is indeed Al, appearing on Stomu Yamashta's (Go Live from Paris) - 'Man of Leo' - 1976 - Island 4 - a convoluted hint for this one, the drummer is Cobham and he's not the leader, nor is the sax player, but the leader and sax player did perform and record together a bit 5.2 - co-led by a pianist & tenor saxophonist |

4.0 - I think I own this record, I recognize the chord progression. Is it Stanley Turrentine with Bob James?

Pretty damn close - it's definitely Stanley, but the keys are by Johnny 'Hammond' Smith - and neither played on the original. (Henderson and Hancock played on that one).
Not John, not a male player either |

Cool!
Here it is: Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin Big Band (Long Yellow Road) - 'Opus No. Zero' - 1975 - RCA Long Yellow Road is one of my favourite albums (in any jazz genre) - it's really fun in places and I especially like 'Children in the Temple Ground' and "Opus...' |
