An announcement of Akira ISHIKAWA's withdrawal

I'm so sorry to mention this but Akira ISHIKAWA (guitar) made a decision to resign the guitarist of DJAMRA yesterday (Dec. 9th, 2011). We've played with him for seven and a half years, that I've felt very short. We're quite disappointed about this matter because we have had an assamption to play together forever, but finally we've decided to have respect for his intention of resigning Djamra.

He refreshed our memory - it was a fateful encounter that we could recruit him as a new guitarist in a website, and he played with us in a studio soon after meeting us and listening to our album "Transplantation". Amazingly everything around us has gone well. A very skilled and versatile guitarist Akira has played guitar pretty in harmony with us, not much with assertion. He's worked upon his "position" with Takehiro FUKUDA (keyboards) behind our brilliant horn section and a bit assertive rhythm section (lol).

And yup, his versatility has made him play upon various stages with various projects more actively, play an actor in a theatrical company named "Gekidan Me-I", and open his own bar called "Placebo" this July. He's been too pressed in his bar or under other projects to continue to play guitar in Djamra, another busy project. Sadly Akira's decided to resign because of his not being a burden for us.

I'm so sorry but he and we each will go on our own way. He came to our rehearsal on December 9th, for saying his last gratitude to us.

Please accept my apology that I'd annoyed you with various egocentric demands from me. But let me say you are, and will be, the most fantastic guitarist in Djamra! Let's push forward with each work, and please take care of yourself Akira, a vegetable hater. :P

Many thanks to Akira, best wishes!

Masaharu NAKAKITA (Djamra)

Thank you for sharing it. I confirmed this news immediately by their homepage and Facebook and Twitter. The fan will watch it without probably demanding the process and reason. . I think that they always pursue good music. I think that probably they create stronger music and appear before a listener again.
