Some of you might recognize James Brown's famous mangled English when he tells Bobby Byrd that whatsomever I do, its got to be funky.
James Brown's band in the early 70s was one of the most innovative and talented groups of musicians ever, but the band that took the funk the highest and most far out was Parliament, they get my vote.

I gotta give it to The Hardest Working Man In Show Business. His band was always the tightest. I love a lot of the others on that list, especially P-Funk, Watson, Tower Of Power, and so on, but James Brown was the most bad-ass.

I went to Bobby Byrd. And I want to go to even Vicki Anderson at the same time. Tongue

Tough choice! I know Funkadelic best out of that great list.

HARD man, that's hard..

I'll go for James Brown, his raw and ultra powerful funk just makes me dance the hell out, be it in the train, the bus or sleeping!
