hello from New Jersey

I've been involved in the music business, as a musician, radio and TV engineer, broadcast TV producer and lastly, as a "smooth jazz" fan and casual reviewer since the genre first game to my attention. That was in 1996, when WJJZ lit up in Philadelphia.  I immediately fell in love with the fusion of rock, jazz, classical, and even a heavy metal riff or two. The woman I was dating at the time (long story) was the media buyer for one of the casinos, and so (delightfully) I was able to meet and even get to know a few of the artists.  I've probably attended a couple hundred performance events over the years, and my (new) wife is a fan too.  We usually go to concerts in Philly, AC, and Reading (Berks Jazz Fest events for sure).   We now spend a lot of time in Florida in the colder months and have found new events to attend in Tampa, Daytona Beach, and even trekked up to the Low Country concerts in Charleston, SC.  Health permitting, looking forward to many more great times in the future.  Glad to find a place to share info and experiences with other fans.  Best regards!
