“The music has the dash and the unabashed lyricism of Keith Jarrett’s best work,” wrote Stereophile in 1994 of the initial release of At The Deer Head Inn, the first selection of material from the pianist’s spontaneous and in retrospect historic return to the Pennsylvanian venue of his early years. Gramophone spoke of “spellbinding” playing", attributes applicable to this edition, featuring eight previously unreleased performances.

Remastered from the original tapes, includes an extensive booklet with updated liner notes, this 1988 live session is unusual for American pianist Fred Hersch in as much as it does not include any of his own compositions, but his inspired choice of standards and masterful arrangements make this trio session one worth acquiring. Joined by bassist Steve La Spina and drummer Jeff Hirschfield, he explores such classic jazz compositions as Wayne Shorter's 'Black Nile, and Miles Davis' 'All Blues', which is given a swirling piano introduction in a brisk arrangement.

Formed in 2019 by Jonas Due (trumpet) and Oilly Wallace (sax) as a melting pot of 5 rising stars, the group quickly gained attention from broadcasting stations and reviewers. The sound of OTOOTO, is defined by featherlight, lyrical melodies paired with characteristic sound of the vintage Juno 106 synth.
