   Pianist MICHAEL WOLFF & Drummer MIKE CLARK have released their 2nd EXPEDITION album on Random Act Records. This is one of the most sizzling releases of the decade. The April, 2015 issue of Downbeat awards the project  4 1/2 Stars. 
With CHRISTIAN McBRIDE and young phenom DARYL JOHNS on bass (sharing duties), saxophonist HAILEY NISWANGER and trumpeter WALLACE RONEY, Wolff & Clark burn on originals and on unique versions of well-known tunes. 

Homages include "Mulgrew," for Mulgrew Miller; "Stray," a gorgeous ballad for Billy Strayhorn; and "Madiba," written for Nelson Mandela. 

The Mikes perform 2 duets: Just Piano and Drums, on an Ornette tune ("Invisible") and on Jimmy Heath's "Gingerbread Boy." Funky, soulful, thoughtful Jazz...
