Just noticed when I posted my review that this seminal album is mis-listed as boxset/compilation when it is actually one of the most influential albums in all of jazz.  Just lettin' you know...

While I am here, I did Miles up to fusion period. Left one album from his Prestige cat because it has never been released except only original LP format and it just goes 18 minutes and the three tracks are now bonus ones on Dig and Miles with Horns. It was his first release

i think in the album release info, it should be mentioned that it was recorded in 1949 and 1950, over 7 years before its release

maybe there should be an option to list the recording dates, as many jazz recordings were recorded long before  their release

I agree with you, that is good info to list. There is a section called 'About this Release' where things like that can be noted. Let me know if you can't add it yourself and I will get it.
