	Very sad news. I saw him perform at NTSU in 1970 or so in the main auditorium in a basic jazz quartet and he was amazing. I couldn't believe he was doing closed rolls with one hand while pushing his glasses back up his nose with the other. He was so relaxed and comfortable behind his kit. We've lost one of the great ones. Play on, Joe, play on...
