"Naima" and "Round Midnight" are two of the most covered tunes in music, they're both great tunes, but possibly too covered.
First, which tune do you prefer, and also, maybe list a favorite version or least favorite version or particularly weird version.

Various musicians cover it. I think that it is splendid music together. I like "Naima" personally, but have not yet come across the cover which, as a result, is beyond an original. Even other covers may still enjoy "Round Midnight". I have a version of Herbie Hancock, but often hear it. Therefore, I went to Round Midnight, too.

I have a lot of versions of "Naima", but one of the weirdest was on an LP I found in a thrift store by a metal band on a local label, I eventually traded the album off and I don't remember the band's name, but I still have the song on a cassette mix tape somewhere.

Yes, I knew Naima of the David Garfield version, but it was not so good. Ermm

Although I've heard loads of versions of Round Midnight, I have only heard Naima by McCoy Tyner and John McLaughlin of which the former was OK but the latter sucked heinously (I ain't even heard Coltrane's originalEmbarrassed)

And they keep on coming, the new album by Will Calhoun has a cover of "Naima".
