Roger Williams was a very successful pop pianist in the 60s and 70s, with many hits on the top 40 pop charts, but he was also a very good jazz pianist and even studied with Lennie Tristano and Teddy Wilson when he was younger. Edited by js - 13 Sep 2023 at 8:20pm |

Did you know that the famous Carpenters vocal group started as a jazz trio with Karen on drums. This video clip has some promo pictures with them as a jazz trio:

Micky Dolenz and his sister, Coco, singing the jazz standard "Bye Bye Blackbird". Although their arrangement starts off somewhat pedestrian, towards the end it takes off and is fairly challenging to pull off.
