Hi,

Been a bit busy as I have to pack and move ... but I have been listening. Page 4 today I think!

Mikkel Ploug Trio
Hope
2025

Very nice stuff from the listed items on Bandcamp. Very enjoyable and mellow. Look forward to the rest of it soon.

====================================
Gustavo Cortinas
The Crisis Knows No Borders
2025

Very nice electric guitar stuff, that kinda reminds me of Terje Rypdal, but this is definitely differetn and nice at the same time. It is the only piece showing and definitely want to hear more. A bit different from the wide open jazz stuff, and the ambient/trip sound is probably the reason why it doesn't seem to just be right out in the open guitar thing.

====================================
Noah Preminger
Ballads
2025

Nice material, kinda soft and bar jazz feeling. Very enjoyable.

=====================================
Alex Cole & Carl Michael Sextet
Situation
2025

A very nice album with a variety of things from various places, going from jazz to classical and some other bits, to create a very nice thing altogether. Very enjoyable album with a nice combination of instruments as well. Not quite a conventional jazz album in my book, but one with some neat stuff and good listens!

====================================
The Three Cohens
Interaction
2025

A fun listen, sort of a big band fun thing in at least a couple of pieces. This is a live album, and it sounds pretty darn good and fun, but they also do a few other things in this album. I don't think there was a single piece here that I did not enjoy. Nice to see work this strong all around. And some really far out pieces!!! Trills & Thrills!!!

=====================================
Sun-Mi Hong
Fourth Page: Meaning of a Nest
2025

A bit different from the usual jazz stuff, if we can say that, in that these pieces seem composed to make sure they get somewhere, even though it is stated in the notes that there is a lot of improvisation here, which I suppose it used in small patches, though not usually over used, although you and I might suggest that a bit too much of this or that, gets in your ears some, but it is not bad, and maintains the interest. Starts out really nice, but it develops into a free form jazz thing, which is not as nice and fun to listen to as the very start of this album.

There are some really nice things in this album, though.
