Hi,
I'm not sure that many of these did just jazz, but I tend to think their experience and quality of work had a lot of free form touches that bordered on the jazz side of things. Jazz minded (or at least experimental): Mick Karn Percy Jones (Brand X) Del Palmer (Kate Bush) Pekka Pohjola Richard Sinclair (Canterbury) Hugh Hopper (Canterbury) Rock band, but players with special touches: Lothar Meid (Amon Duul 2) Mike Howlett (Gong) Nick Beggs Les Claypool Dave Pegg (Fairport Convention, Richard Thompson) Phil Lesh (GD) Don Schiff (Rocket Scientists) |
