Try this:  Jojo Mayer and Nerve

Doesn't sound very jazzy to my ears, but it's still interesting and I like it. Thanks for the suggestion, Alex. Smile

The EP that Colin recommends there is jazzier than the samples he chose.

Yes, all three of the EPs are more likely to be to your tastes than Prohibited Beats

Oh, Bonobo maybe?

or is that more beat-orientated than you are looking for?

The rest of the Nerve music still isn't quite jazzy in my opinion. That Bonobo track is cool, but it certainly doesn't sound avant-garde at all.

Interesting "electronic jazz" release - nu jazz godfather Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft and German deep house/electronic producer Henrik Schwarz duo.

Not avant-garde though but great example of modern "electronic jazz"

I already have that, and I don't really enjoy it too much.

I've heard that one, and it's really good.

I checked them out, and I actually do like it quite a bit. So far, this is the closest to what I was looking for, thanks!

Others that I think fit what you are looking for, but I'm not positive are:
Meat Beat Manifesto
Pink Freud
Sex Mob
Supersilent *
David Torn
Bugge Wesseltoft  (some, but not all of his music)

Check out Robotobibok though, they are very original.
I suggested them back on page one!!  Shocked

This is why I no longer suggest in lists. no one ever goes through them... It works better to either suggest one thing or post links/videos

Sometimes the lists make you feel tired (psychologically). But they help.

Oops, sorry! I somehow skipped over that one. I promise I did read the list, though. Anyway, great suggestion Smile

You've said you like boring ambient stuff too, try this

edit: Although apparently this is a cover version by The Empire Brass Quintet; pretty much only the drums sound different.

Otomo Yoshihide did a reworking of Dolphy's Out To Lunch. The electronic elements aren't terribly present, but it's a great take on the work nonetheless.

Excellent suggestion. The DJ makes them sound like old-school hip hop.

That's Kenny G with Miles Davis on my avatar, by the way.
