love him, I have a live recording of him at the Monterey Jazz Festival in the 60s that completely smokes..  also love Django

yup, outsidev the obvious Reinhhardt collabs, I haven't heard the others I must say!! Embarrassed
 
I'm kind of curious about the Ponty collab, but fear that two jazz violins might be a bit stretching it out....

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...
