| I've never done that either, I have some books that have Herbie and Miles solos written out that I look at some times, but mostly for my own solos I just use what I know about scales and chords and just build my own solos. Since I play a lot of RnB jazz, its only natural that a lot of cliches common with that genre will show up, riffs from guys like Jimmy Smith, Herbie, etc. |

I was dismissed from a try out very quickly once because I did not learn the piano accompaniment to this recording of "House in not a Home" exactly as the other pianist had played it on the recording.

Definitely not, needless to say, I'm a little bitter about that one  ...but it is a nice song.
