In my opinion this is one of the best album existing. A great jazz experience and maybe the best jazz album I ever heard in my life. What do you think about it? |

I agree. It's stunning. I have not even come close to tiring of it yet. Composition, orchestration, performance, it's all there. And it even has a kind of 'film noir'/detective feel to some of it, which is a cool bonus for me as I love that genre of film ------------- We are men of action.  Watching on the Belgian TV a Mingus performance of the Black Saint era stuff with Dolphy on flute!!
     ------------- my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicted musicians to crazy ones....

^ Awesome - did Mingus every release much of BS&TSL on a live LP? I might go research... ...after a very brief and quite a cursory search, I've found naught on the Live Black Saint front.
