So I was in the middle of composing a review for Smokin' At The Half Note by Wes Montgomery when I noticed that it had mysteriously disappeared? Anyone know what happened to it? Where it went?

I sure hope my draft is still intact, heh.

I expect this album should be added under Wynton Kelly

I know it's the Wynton Kelly trio featuring Wes Montgomery, but I've always seen it classified as a Wes album, from Amazon to eBay to iTunes to most of the musicians I've spoken with IRL. That being said, AMG does list it as a Wynton Kelly album, so I suppose it's not as clear cut as it seems.

EDIT: Either way, would moving it cause my draft to disappear? I'd put a fair bit of work into it.

I agree it could be classified in both ways. Just to make similar situations more clear here on JMA we use simple rule -  album should be added under the first collaborator, mentioned on the cover, name. I know it not always correct, but it helps when adding/searching any album in data base, so it works

Slava and I have been discussing this and we are going to tag it a Montgomery album.

Anytime we work with an album or move it, we try to make sure all ratings and reviews remain intact and stay with that album.
To be safe, always copy and save your reviews somewhere before posting to the site, accidents do happen.

Anyway, for future reference, when it is two or more solo artists, then we go with the first listed name on the album, but this album is different. Basically the Wynton Kelly trio is acting as Montgomery's backing band and basically this is a Montgomery date.
