All are of course, most wonderful - and the original is superb and well, the original, but I love the Bobby version and Grant's soloing is cool in his - so what do you think?

They are all nice, but I'll go with the original. I was trying to think of others who have covered this song, right now I can only remember Brian Auger, but I know there are others.

I went for Hancock's version, but Hutcherson's is good too... Green's version is a little soporific, IMHO, but Auger's version is mega enthralling.

Yeah, that Auger one is great stuff, I should probably pick up that Trinity albbum one day

Yes, the melody for me usually should reappear in an form that's at least recognisable, absolutely. I'll have a look at Karin Krog & the GRP All Stars, thanks Kazu

One of the Hancock VSOP albums has a very energetic semi-free version.
